The project

Park16Hoven is a green and spacious neighbourhood outside the Rotterdam city centre. Located at the northern edge of this neighbourhood, the Reijsendaal-Noord site offers permanent panoramic views of the urban nursery and the airport beyond. Residential blocks that add a powerful finishing touch to the neighbourhood will be built at this beautiful ‘terminus’ location. Both the south-facing back garden and front garden complete with patio oriented to the evening sun make this project unique.

The plan area is traversed by the lanes of Park16Hoven. Each street has its own colour scheme, ranging from reddish-brown to anthracite and orange. In the designs, the colour of the masonry blends with the streets. The concealed gutter detail is utilised as the powerful unifying element of the buildings, achieving consistency in both architecture and aesthetic.
